"I love you too"

I honestly did not want to leave the restaurant tonight. The dinner we had was the most delicious cuisine. GLS took us out to a very fancy restaurant tonight and it was a Greek buffet style. The cooks were very nice and told me the food that I could not eat due to my allergies (which was only two dishes!) Amazing! I piled my plate high with everything else, some chicken, salads, cole slaw of some sort, etc. Everything was so delicious and I tried to eat slowly so that I could enjoy the taste rather than just shoving food down my mouth. Although, that was difficult as Greeks do not eat dinner until around nine at night (so I was quite hungry) The dessert was just a delightful. There was an assortment of pastries and a bowl of sweetened mixed fruit pieces. I gave my compliments to the chef (actually, I said something along the lines of, I love this place and this food!) and the chef responded with “I love you too.” It was just so adorable!

After dinner, some of us went over to a small playground that Alex, Elise, Rachel and I had discovered earlier today while meandering around the roads. Earlier that day was actually quite fun. We practiced a bit of Greek (and probably made a fool of ourselves) but I really think that the people appreciate that at least we are trying.

I also took notes on the history of Cyprus during orientation today and will have to give you all a sparknotes version of them later on.

Tomorrow is the first day of classes, and there is also a cooking class that we can take for free. Horahh to more free food!
