SPF Zero

Yesterday was sort of anticlimactic. Classes were quite boring as well. During our class breaks I played backgammon with Angie and Elise, and lost both times. Backgammon is a traditional game played in Cyprus by gamblers. I'm sure glad I didn't gamble away any of my euros.
I also went food shopping yesterday - it's really nice to have deli meat and cheese in the apartment now. After classes that evening I went for a run and then went out for ice cream with a group of friends. (I'm thinking the run counterbalanced the two scoops of delicious dark chocolate ice cream) Then about a dozen of us went to a pub/grill place to watch the futbol (soccer) game, Paraguay vs Italy. Italy should have dominated but they were playing very sloppy. It ended with a 1-1 tie.

I thinking the Mediterranean sun is finally taking effect on my skin. I have yet to burn and am definitely not as dark (or as red) as some of the others, but I am changing color. Some of the girls are very much into tanning. Did you know that there is an SPF 0 tanning oil? That's crazy. I have definitely mastered the heavy application of SPF 30 waterproof, sweat-proof, UVA/UVB protection sunscreen. I think I may have gotten half a shade darker, maybe. We shall see how much damage my skin gets before I come home!

Off to a field trip today - tell you all about it later!
