Lost in England

Finally, I am here! The plane ride was absolutely ridiculously long for me. In Logan we had a rain delay (only about 20 minutes), but still managed to arrive in London Heathrow ten minutes earlier than we were originally planning to arrive. We must have been flying wicked fast!

When I got to London, the fun began. I took British Airways to Cyprus, but first had to get to the terminal. I saw a sign that said BA was in terminal 3, so I went there, through security, and was trying to figure out where my plane was. Well, BA to Larnaca (Lar-ni-kahh) is at terminal 5, not 3. On top of that, the terminals all have their own security system. So, I went back out of terminal 3, hopped on a ten-minute bus/trolley thing that took me to terminal 5, and had to go through security again. I did make it to my flight to Larnaca on time, but I definitely cut it close.

When I landed in Larnaca, there was a GLS representative waiting for me, Constantia, who led me to the bus with a few other students on it. The majority of the students arrived yesterday, so we were the last ones. It was about a forty-minute drive to our apartments from the airport.

The people in the airports and on the planes were so wonderful. Flying to London, there was a seat between me and an older man, who was on his way to the World Cup in South Africa. On the flight to Larcana, the plane was absolutely packed. The man I sat next to is in Cyprus for over a year for business trying to help with peace along the Green Zone (the zone protected by the UN, between the Turkish and Greek sides of Cyprus.
