Agia Napa - Saturday and Sunday

Saturday and Sunday were an absolute blast. I really did enjoy Agia Napa, besides that crazy night out on Friday. Saturday we ate a delicious breakfast at the hotel and hung out at the beach and pool all morning. In the afternoon, we took a cruise on the Yellow Submarine for an excursion to the caves. What was really sweet about the Yellow Submarine is that the bottom of the boat literally was like a submarine. There are portholes with seats so you can look out into the water and see all the fish, rocks, etc. My friends have pictures (since I was without a camera, still). Once we got to the caves, we all jumped off and went snorkeling. There was not really much to see - compared to St. John - but it was still fun. There was a small hole connecting two of the caves together and we got to snorkel through it. The waves were huge and luckily I didn't crash up against any rocks. I think it helped that I've been swimming all of my life and have experience with snorkeling and with larger waves. I was doing sumersaults in the water. It was great! There were also two places on the boat that we could jump off of. I dived and jumped multiple times off of the lower part of the boat (about 4 meters I believe) and a few times off the top (8m). We were then invited to do some cliff jumping at 16m high, but I couldn't get my guts to do it. My friends Alex and Rachel did, and I'm impressed with them. The highest I've ever jumped from was in the caribbean at around 35 feet; 16m (about 52 ft) was just too much for me that day. Overall, it was an amazing cruise - and only 10 euro!
That evening we went to Nissi Beach because Alex and Rachel were going to bungee jump. Unfortunately, we arrived too late as the stand was already closed. Since we were at the beach though, we made the best of it. I have pictures of the waves and rocks, and it was sunset as well. We then ate dinner (got 20% off, but the service was extremely slow) and I ordered salmon. Although service was slow, the food was incredible. The salmon was exactly what I needed - delicious!

We then, decided stupidly (Are We being Idiots?) to walk back to the hotel. Along the way we stopped and got french gelato (I has cheesecake flavored - there was actually cheesecake in it!) and stopped at the square to show our friend Rebecca exactly what it was like. We then circled around to avoid going back through the square and made it to our hotel by midnight. I do not know how far we walked, but we have heard that Nissi Beach is anywhere from 7 miles or so away from the hotel. Not that bad except we were all in sandals. We made it back and fell asleep.

Sunday, today, Angie and I went parasailing! It was so much fun and the view was fantastic. We went on the only boat in the area that can take us parasailing 200m up in the sky. I have never gone parasailing before, but I'm so glad that we did. On the return to the dock, the driver lowered us so that our legs hit the water - it was so great! Angie and I then walked back to the hotel where we loaded the bus and came back to the apartments. The supermarket is not open on Sundays, so cereal it is for dinner! I hope to buy an external hard drive this week (and a little digital camera as well). Classes again tomorrow. I have not looked at the syllabus yet, so it will be a surprise!
